Hadden Continues Work On Mariner Leisure Centre Improvements

Work is continuing on a leisure centre improvement project in Falkirk.

Contractor Hadden is delivering the scheme at the Mariner Centre in Camelon.

With mechanical and electrical (M&E) works now underway to create the new soft play area, The Great Mariner Reef, Hadden has informed Falkirk Community Trust it requires seven weeks to carry out all necessary works.


A spokesperson said: "We have no wish to stall the contractor as this may lead to delays in the completion of the works. The facility will therefore now open on Monday, 11 June."

Speaking about the project last month, Falkirk Council leader Cecil Meiklejohn said: "The new facilities will really benefit The Mariner Centre and will encourage many new users to enjoy both the new soft play and offer much improved changing areas to those with disabilities.

"We know that there will be some disruption while these improvements are carried out but we are sure visitors will appreciate the longer term benefits for everyone."
