Scotland TranServ is to begin work on a £150,000 road resurfacing project in South Ayrshire.
A total of 600 metres of carriageway along the A77 at Auchenblane will be repaired. Work will take place from 8pm on 27 April until 6am on 30 April, with subsequent overnight closures on Monday and Tuesday from 01 May. Diversions and lane closures will be in place.
The scheme is the final resurfacing project out of of six taking place along the A77, which was damaged by tge prolonged and inclement winter period.
Darren Mitchell, Scotland TranServ's Design Engineer said: "This £150k project will mark the culmination of six schemes to resurface the A77 this spring. Our works have addressed approximately 16,000m2 of defective carriageway and our further retexturing operation has improved approximately 10,000m2 of road surface friction.
"We have been working closely with the local communities, councils, Police Scotland and other key stakeholders to carefully schedule these projects, for minimal disruption."
