Police have launched an investigation after £4,000 worth of specialist LED floodlights were stolen from Elgin's Landshut Bridge in Moray.
The Pulsar Chroma Flood 100 LED lights, which were used to illuminate the bridge in various colours, were removed by thieves between 15 March and 05 April.
Moray Council said cables and a security chain were cut through to remove the lights, which are worth £1,000 each.
Engineers inspecting the damage said that it is possible the suspects suffered an electric shock when the cables were disconnected.
Anyone with information about the theft or the whereabouts of the lights, or are offered such lights for sale, are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.
