Work is to begin on a £520,000 resurfacing scheme in Dumfries and Galloway.
Scotland TranServ will start repairing 0.7kms of the A75 between Violetbank and Justinlees near Annan from Friday, 06 April. Completion is scheduled for Friday, 13 April.
The programme of works includes the full weekend closure of the A75 between Violetbank and Justinlees from 7pm on Friday until 7am on Monday, 09 April. Subsequent overnight closures between 7pm and 7am each night will follow from Monday until the morning of Friday, 13 April. Diversions will be in place.
Alan Murray, Scotland TranServ's Principal Design Engineer said: "We've been working in liaison with Police Scotland, the local authority and key stakeholders to carefully schedule this programme of work. This extensive scheme will require deep treatment of the trunk road and therefore it is necessary to allow the new surface time to harden.
"This project is part of a series of such resurfacing works planned for the A75 over the coming year. We will continue to work with local communities and key stakeholders to schedule our programme of works to keep disruption to a minimum where possible."
