KCA Deutag has secured a new four-year drilling contract in the Norwegian North Sea.
The Aberdeen-based firm's offshore business unit will carry out drilling operations, maintenance services and engineering support on five of Statoil's platforms in the region.
The deal will begin on 01 October this year, with an additional option to extend by three further periods of two years each. Work will be carried out in the Oseberg and Kvitebjørn fields.
The contract, including the options to extend, is worth more than £568 million.
