More than £200,000 is to be invested in schools repairs and improvements across West Lothian.
The work will take place over the Easter holiday period at 52 primary, secondary, ASN and nursery schools. Features will include roof works, lighting repairs, asbestos removal and ventilation.
Other scheduled work includes the installation of a control panel at St Kentigerns Academy; the construction of a new ramp to ease access at Falahill Primary School; and repairs to the chimney at Broxburn Primary School.
Cllr David Dodds said: “West Lothian has one of the best school estates in the country, and this investment of over £200,000 is intended to make sure our schools stay in good condition, ensuring that our pupils have the best possible environment to learn in.
"The Easter holiday period offers a window to safely carry out essential repair and improvement works while the children are not in school limiting any possible disruption for our pupils during term-time.”
