Construction is continuing on the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie to Tipperty (AWPR/B-T) project.
A short section of the B979 Netherley Road at Stonehaven is expected to close later this week to allow the contractor to carry out surfacing works and progress the construction of the new Stonehaven Junction.
The B979 will close between Mains of Ury and the junction with Glenury Road around 8pm on Friday, 16 March until 6am on Monday, 19 March. Another closure will take place again at 8pm on Friday, 23 March until 6am on Monday, 26 March. Diversions will be sign-posted.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: "The contractor has been working closely with Police Scotland and the local authorities to ensure anyone who needs to use this section of the B979 Netherley Road has a viable alternative available to them, while enhancing the safety of road users and road workers.
"Road users who would normally use these routes should plan their journeys in advance so that they can reach their destination safely and on time.
"We would like to thank road users and the local community for their on-going support and patience during the construction works."
