Plans have been approved for redevelop a former bank in Linlithgow, West Lothian.
The old Clydesdale bank on Linlithgow High Street, which closed in 2012 due to significant building repairs, is to be transformed into a restaurant/café.
Features include reinstating the original windows and replacing the shop front, while the exterior of the building will be replaced with a more traditional shop frontage that is in keeping with the high street and similar properties in the area.
A council spokesperson said: "Given the location within Linlithgow town centre the proposed change of use is compatible with the surrounding area and will help contribute to Linlithgow's vibrant town centre.
"Additionally, under planning regulations potential commercial competition is not a material concern, so the presence of similar businesses nearby would not be a valid reason for refusing an application."
