A new pedestrian crossing is to be installed in Girvan, South Ayrshire.
The crossing will be developed for the junction of Ailsa Street West and Henrietta Street on the A77.
Bad weather during winter halted the start of works, however better weather is now forecast and works will take place on the following dates:
• 8pm Friday 26 – 6am Monday 29 January
• 8pm Friday 02 – 6am Monday 05 February
• 8pm Friday 09 – 6am Monday 12 February
Vincent Tait, Scotland TranServ's Road Safety Manager said: "Following delays because of the wintry weather, we expect works to get underway this weekend (Fri 26th January). In order to complete the works as quickly and safely as possible it will be necessary to close the A77 Northbound at this immediate location over the next three weekends.
"A short diversion route will be in place from Shallochpark Roundabout. Southbound traffic will remain unaffected by the works."
