Work on a £4 million building refurbishment project in Linlithgow, West Lothian is now complete.

The County Buildings in the town's High Street have been redeveloped by Maxi Construction into the Linlithgow Partnership Centre - Tam Dalyell House.

A number of facilities will be relocated in the completed building including; Linlithgow Library, Customer Information Services, Local History Library, Family History Society, Linlithgow Heritage Trust (formally known as Annet House) and Linlithgow & District Community Day Care Centre. Accommodation will also be provided for Police Scotland, which has relocated from the nearby police station, as well as spaces for council staff.

Council Leader Council Lawrence officially opened the new centre on Friday, 12 January.

He said: "The development of a Partnership Centre in Linlithgow has been a key aim for West Lothian Council for a long time and we're delighted to be joined by Mrs Dalyell to officially open this fantastic new facility.

"The refurbishment and improvement works have ensured the building is multi-functional, modern and fit for purpose. This multi-million pound investment has reinvigorated the building and will provide local people with first class community facilities in the heart of the town centre."
