Clyde Gateway Appoints New Board Member

Clyde Gateway has announced the appointment of Robert McLeary, the chair of Rutherglen & Cambuslang Housing Association (HA), to its Board.

Mr McLeary is taking up the position following the sudden death of Tommy Rooney last year.

Having enjoyed a lengthy career as a Chartered Surveyor before retiring, Mr McLeary was a founder member of the Rutherglen and Cambuslang Housing Association in 1980 and has supported or been involved in an extensive range of community events.

He will take up his new position at the next Board meeting in Rutherglen Town Hall on Monday, 26 February.

Speaking on his new role, Mr McLeary said: "I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to join the Board.

"Clyde Gateway has already made a big difference to Rutherglen and Shawfield over the past ten years but I know they have very ambitious plans to ensure the momentum is maintained."
