Work On Inverness Sewer Renewal Project Complete

Lanes Group has completed work on a sewer renewal project in Inverness.

The project in Fraser Street involved relining the sewer from the inside with a new resin.

No excavations were undertaken for the work, with access for the project team to do the work taken via manholes.

David Beveridge, Regional Development Manager for Lanes Group, said: "The work was done to help prevent us from having to carry out really intrusive excavations and long, long delays for traffic, especially during the tourist season.

"We were coming in during the evenings setting up our traffic management, carrying out the work, removing the traffic management in the morning and no one was aware of our presence."

Trish Wilson from Scottish Water said: "Customers are our priority at Scottish Water and all work we do we always try and make sure that disruption is minimised as much as possible. For the project in Fraser Street we engaged with stakeholders and business leaders at an early stage and this helped us be able to organise a working schedule that ensured minimum disruption."
