Residents in Orkney are being encouraged to find out if they are eligible to receive funding for energy efficiency upgrades to their homes.
The Scottish Government awarded £1.4 million to the council for 2017-2018 to help home owners, private sector tenants and landlords carry out a range of measures such as loft insulation, under floor insulation, internal wall insulation, and external wall insulation.
In addition, some households may also qualify for help in replacing old inefficient oil boilers or storage heaters with modern versions.
Residents are encouraged to find out if they are eligible for funding by contacting Firefly Energi (Orkney) Ltd on 01856881151, by email [email protected] or by calling into its office at 31 Broad Street, Kirkwall.
