A new LED lighting system has been installed at three high rise building in Aberdeen.
The Morven, Brimmond, and Grampian Courts buildings have been upgraded with lights which are to be purple on the roof and green above entrances, as part of a pilot project.
The scheme is designed to recoup much of its initial installation cost through savings in electricity costs.
The new lighting system was officially switched on by Cllr Yvonne Allan on Wednesday, 08 November.
She said: "The new lighting at Morven, Brimmond, and Grampian Courts looks wonderful and I'm sure the residents will enjoy their buildings being awash with colour.
"The residents who were there for the switch-on all said what a difference the new lights makes to their buildings.
"We have seen the benefits of what imaginative lighting on buildings can do with the award-winning Spectra festival for the last four years, so bringing a riot of colour to these three high rises will bring a bit of sparkle on even the darkest winter's day."
