Plans are to be submitted to build a new alloy wheels factory in Fort William.
GFG Alliance will submit proposals this month to develop the 400-worker facility in the town.
The factory will use use liquid aluminium from the Liberty British Aluminium smelter, owned by GFG at Fort William, to make around two million alloy wheels a year for the UK car industry.
A number of public consultation events have been held in the area on the plans.
GFG said it hopes a decision on the planning application can be made in Spring next year and if approved, production could start in Spring 2020.
