A new £10 million hotel is to be built on the grounds of Hamilton Park Racecourse in South Lanarkshire.

The 118-room property will be operated by Hampton by Hilton and will bring up to 20 new jobs to the racecourse.

Designed by ICA Architects, the hotel will be built in a modular fashion on what is currently the main public car park of the racecourse grounds.

"The project has been driven by both public demand, largely from our local customer base, not only for racedays but for weddings and other events, and from our racing personnel."
