Plans have been revealed to redevelop a former office building into a new hotel in Inverness.
Patio Hotels (Aberdeen) has purchased the former Bridge House building on Church Street close to the city centre.
The company plans to turn the 23,000 sq ft four-storey building into a new four-star hotel.
Acting on behalf of Threadneedle Pensions, Shepherd Chartered Surveyors sold the property to Patio Hotels for an undisclosed sum.
Sandy Rennie, partner in the Inverness office of Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said: "This sale represents a very large disposal in the Inverness market and confirms the city's growing reputation as a desirable location for hotel operators."
