Work is to begin on a £220,000 road resurfacing project in Dumbarton.
Scotland TranServ will start repairing the A82 Southbound between Garshake Road and Greenhead Road from 8pm on Friday, 27 October until 6am on Monday, 30 October.
The scheme, which will address defects and structural cracking on the southbound dual carriageway, has been specifically scheduled for a weekend outwith school holidays, in order to reduce disruption to the local community and others using the route.
To carry out the work safely, the southbound dual carriageway will be closed during the duration pf the project. Diversions will be in place.
Darren Mitchell, Scotland TranServ's Roads Design Engineer said: "This is an important road through Dumbarton, for local drivers, but also freight and tourism traffic alike. This essential programme will significantly improve the quality of the road surface, and has been scheduled in order to reduce disruption as much as possible."
