Work is to begin on a bridge improvement project in Inverness.
The council will start installing illuminated bollards on the pedestrian pavements on either side of Ness Bridge from Tuesday, 28 October.
The week-long project will improve the levels of light for people walking over the bridge in the evenings and to compliment the ambience of the coloured lighting installed under the archways of the bridge.
In order to carry out the scheme safely, phased pedestrian management measures will be put in place with the closure of one pedestrian footpath at a time. Public access to cross the bridge on foot will be available at all times.
