Work on a new £28.8 million high school in Moray is now complete.
The new Elgin High School was built by Balfour Beatty on behalf of Hub North Scotland.
The company was appointed a main contractor for the project in 2016. Features include a new teaching and sports facility adjacent to the existing Elgin High School, which will cater for 1,000 pupils.
Works on the second phase of the scheme will begin shortly. Balfour Beatty will demolish the old school to make way for the construction of a new 3G sports pitch and upgraded parking facilities.
Hector Macaulay, Balfour Beatty's Regional Managing Director for Scotland, said: "We are delighted to hand Elgin High School over to Hub North Scotland on schedule, providing students, teachers and the Moray Council with a first class educational facility that will significantly enhance the learning experience of those who attend.
"Through the project, we have made a significant and sustainable contribution to the local economy, engaging with the local supply chain and providing numerous local employment opportunities."
