Sewer System Repairs Project To Start In Dumfries

Work is to begin on a sewer system repairs project in Dumfries.

The five-day scheme will be carried out on Criffel Road near the junction of Criffel Drive from 16 October.

Scott Fraser, Scottish Water's corporate affairs regional manager, said: "When planning this road traffic management in Criffel Road, we liaised closely with the local authority.

"The road closure is essential while we carry out this important work and we will do all we can to complete it as quickly as possible.

"We apologise for any inconvenience and thank affected residents, road users and the community for their patience and understanding."
