SP Energy Networks is to begin work at the A9 Greencornhills Roundabout in Stirling.
The company will start laying ducts and cables for the Beauly to Denny powerline project on Friday, 29 September. Works are expected to take one month to complete.
Stirling Council said: "Four way traffic lights will be set-up to allow the works to be carried out safely and delays are expected.
"These signals will be manually operated between 7am and 7pm each day to minimise the impact. Officers from Stirling Council will monitor the traffic management arrangements throughout the works."
As part of the electricity upgrade project, SP Energy Networks is removing 51 electricity pylons from the Stirling valley. These pylons measure up to 35 metres in height and their removal aims to provide significant visual enhancement to the surrounding landscape.
To allow the pylons to be removed, 17 km of underground cabling will be installed between Stirling Grid Substation in Sprinkerse Industrial Estate and Glenbervie to the north of Falkirk.
