Work is to start on a car park expansion project at Dunfermline Queen Margaret station in Fife.
Additional spaces will be added to the station's car park over two consecutive weekends; 23 – 24 September and 30 September to 01 October.
Welcoming the improvement, Cllr Helen Law said: "I am happy to see additional parking spaces being delivered at Dunfermline Queen Margaret Station to meet increasing commuter demand. This will be a great benefit to the local community.
"I am pleased funding from the City of Dunfermline Area capital budget helped to secure the additional partnership funding that was required from the ScotRail Alliance."
ScotRail Alliance’s programmes and transformation director, Ian McConnell, added: "We’re building the best railway Scotland has ever had, and improved facilities for customers at our stations is a huge part of this.
"These additional spaces, combined with longer trains, more seats and better services, will all help us to achieve our aim of reducing the carbon footprint from door to door."
