Work on a £4.6 million school refurbishment project in Moray is now complete.
A new modular extension has been added to Millbank Primary School by contractors Morrison Construction.
The project, which was funded by Scottish Futures Trust and the council, involved creating four additional classrooms as well as installing new boilers, doors and improved insulation to improve the buildings' efficiency.
In addition, full rewiring, replumbing, new and upgraded roofing was carried out.
Speaking at the opening event, Cllr James Allan said: "Inside the school the transformation is obvious and as you approach the building the outside cladding brightens up the surrounding area, making the school a special feature and central to Buckie East.
"The Millbank community now has a school fit for the future. This is our vision for all children in Moray as we work hard to provide similar quality learning environments for all of our children and young people."
Cllr Tim Eagle added: "As well as this investment in the school for the benefit of the children who attend Millbank now and in the future, we're also investing in the teaching profession here in Moray by creating modern work spaces for teaching in the 21st century."
