Road works are continuing on the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie to Tipperty (AWPR/B-T) project.
The contractor, Connect Roads, is due to complete a new section of the B977 and connect it to the existing road.
To carry out the work, a section of the B977 Echt to Balmedie Road is expected to close for eight weeks. The route will close between its junction with the A947 Newmachar Road and Goval House near Dyce from Monday, 11 September. Diversions will be in place.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: "Once open, this new section of the B977 will enable road users to cross over the AWPR and the Goval Burn on two new bridges.
"The contractor has been working closely with Police Scotland and the local authorities to ensure that anyone who normally uses the B977 Echt to Balmedie Road at this location can continue to do so, while maintaining the safety of road users and road workers.."
