Plans have been approved to build a new play area next to the Overgate Centre shopping mall in Dundee.
The fenced off play park will be developed on land to the rear of the complex in Overgate Lane, between the multi-storey car park and the telephone exchange.
Features include a slide, swing, stepping stones, see-saw and balance beam all surrounded by safe surfacing.
The council's city development committee convener, Lynne Short, said: "This is great news for retailers and shoppers with young children.
"We know that in order to entice people away from only doing their shopping on line, city centres must have added extras that make a trip into town worthwhile.
"So when you can combine shopping with a bit of fun for the kids at a safe, easily accessible play area what's not to like."
