Road repair works are to begin in Caithness.
Around 1km of the B876 at Killimster Moss is to undergo improvement works including removal of the existing road surface, assessing the exposed concrete foundation slabs, carrying out any repairs if required and then relaying a reinforced road surface.
To carry out the scheme safely, the road will shut from 8am on Monday, 28 August until 6pm on Saturday, 30 September. Alternative routes will be in place for motorists.
The council said: "The closure will prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the A876 Reiss – Castletown Road from its junction with the U1316 Myrelandhorn - Quoybrae Road to its junction with the U1376 Killimster – Westerloch Road."
