Plans have been approved to develop a new retail park in Angus.
The three-unit development will be built on the site of a former distillery at Brechin Road in Montrose.
Developers Kilmac will deliver a large 22,000 sq ft retail unit, along with two 12,000 sq ft units featuring 172 car parking spaces and junction improvements.
The company has secured Home Bargains as the operator of the largest unit, which had been the intended location for a Sainsbury's store until the plan collapsed in 2015.
Despite concerns over the potential impact on Montrose town centre shops, Councillors unanimously backed the conditional approval recommendation of planning officials.
Derek Ross of Kilmac told the committee the Home Bargains store should bring around 50 jobs to the town, with around 20/30 posts in the two smaller units.
