Works are to begin on the new River Dee Crossing in Aberdeenshire.
The scheme is being carried out as part of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie to Tipperty (AWPR/B-T) project.
To carry out the project safely, a 12-week temporary diversion will be in place for the B9077 South Deeside Road from 10pm on Wednesday, 09 August.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: "We would like to encourage road users to exercise more caution than usual in this area as they become accustomed to the temporary changes in road layout at South Deeside Road.
"We would also like to remind all road users that additional traffic management measures, including short-term use of temporary traffic lights, will be required at times to enhance the safety of the local community, road workers and road users and should be observed."
