Plans have been submitted for a new £1.7 million children's house in Port Glasgow, Inverclyde.
The six-bedroom facility will be developed on the site of Crosshill Place.
The existing building will be demolished while the new building is being built. Residents will move into Neil Street until building work is completed towards the end of 2018.
Along with ensuite facilities, features will include a lounge, sitting room, dining room, kitchen and laundry.
Cllr Robert Moran said: "The new children's houses when completed will deliver the best possible facilities for children and young people in a nurturing and caring environment."
