Bearsden Community Hub Recognised At AJ Retrofit Awards

A community hub project in East Dunbartonshire has been nominated for an industry accolade.

The Bearsden Community Hub, built by CCG, has been shortlisted for an Architectural Journal Retrofit Award 2017 in the Cultural Buildings category.

Located on Bearsden Road, the project was delivered for East Dunbartonshire Council and Hub West Scotland. It involved renovating the Bearsden Burgh Halls, improvements to the building’s elevations and surrounding grounds as well as the complete reconfiguration of the internal layout including the installation of a new first floor.

The 46-week scheme was completed and handed over to the council in February this year.

Winners of the The AJ Retrofit Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony at The Brewery in London on 13 September.
