More than £3,000 worth of tools have been stolen from a construction site in Dumfries.
The theft happened sometime overnight between 15 – 16 June at the site of the new £270 million hospital at Garroch Loaning.
The new multi-million pound hospital is being built by Laing O'Rourke and is scheduled to open in December.
The tools consist of electric drills, a plunge saw, a jigsaw, two laser levels and various hand tools, drill bits and batteries.
Constable Emily Conroy at Dumfries said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information about this theft. Likewise we would want to hear from anyone who may be offered any similar tools for sale. Callers can contact police at Dumfries on the 101 number."
