Scotland TranServ To Begin £340,000 Resurfacing Project

Scotland TranServ is to begin a £340,000 resurfacing project in Dumfries and Galloway.

The company will start repairing the route between the A75/A711 Kirkcudbright junction and Barncrosh from 23 – 28 June.

A 700-metre section of the route will see potholes and structural cracking repaired.

Details of road closures are as follows;

• 7pm Friday, 23 June to 6am Monday, 26 June, continuous 24 hours

• Further two overnight closures will be implemented on Monday, 26 June and Tuesday, 27 June between 7pm to 6am respectively.

A three-way traffic signal system will be implemented at the junction with Tongland bridge (A711/A762) in order to control large vehicle turning movements

Rajan Singh, Scotland TranServ's Project Manager for the scheme said: "We realise that this is an important economic artery for South West Scotland, and that is why we're making every effort to reduce disruption as much as possible. Work will take place at the weekend and overnight in order to minimise the impact on the local community and businesses."
