Up to £400,000 is to be invested in open spaces across Dundee.
The works package, which includes redesign and landscape improvements to Lochee Road, Riverside Drive, South Park Road, as well as replacing damaged fencing at Millhill Gardens and Pentland Avenue, will be put before councillors for approval on Monday, 12 June,
Redesign and landscape improvement works include:
• Marketgait – Soft landscaped areas would be improved by new trees, benches, bins, and replacement fencing
• Lochee Road – Additional trees and wildflowers would be planted
• Riverside Drive – The main route into the city would be enhanced by new plants and trees which will line the ambassador route
• Dura Street/ Dens Road – sight lines would be improved by removing overgrown shrubbery and the site will be upgraded by additional suburbs and bulbs being planted
The works follow the approval of more than £250,000 worth of improvements at play areas and open spaces across the city in January.
