The council will discuss awarding tenders for the work at a Neighbourhood Services Committee meeting on Monday, 12 June.

The schemes include:

• Mill O' Mains – Driveways Provision

• City Wide – Housing Concrete Repairs

The committee is being recommended to accept the council's construction services division as the tender for Mill O' Mains Driveways Provision, while Anderson Specialist Contractor Ltd is being recommended to secure the Housing Concrete Repairs contract, which will see more than 500 properties across the city upgraded.

If approved, work on all projects is expected to be ongoing throughout the year.

Councillor Anne Rendall said: "We are planning massive programme of works, targeting the issues that tenants have told us are important.

"These particular driveway works are part of the regeneration to Mill O' Mains and we are also proposing to enhance over 500 properties across the city though the Housing Concrete Repairs.

"It's great to see our improvements to homes in Dundee, including Dundee City Council's housing stock, which ensures that people are living in houses that are fit for the 21st century and as warm, fuel efficient and comfortable as possible."
