Work is to start on a £170,000 roundabout resurfacing scheme in South Lanarkshire.
The project will help address issues with potholes and structural cracking along a 1km stretch of the A726 westbound carriageway.
Work will take place on the A726 trunk road between the Murray and Righead Roundabouts in East Kilbride from 10 – 11 June.
In order to carry out the work as quickly and safely as possible, the westbound carriageway of the A726 will be closed during the works.
Brendan O'Sullivan, Scotland TranServ's Network Area Manager said: "We are investing, on behalf of Transport Scotland to support communities living and working adjacent to our network. This is a busy economic route through one of South West Scotland's largest towns and this project will deliver tangible, long-term benefits in the quality of the road surface for commuters and freight traffic alike."
