Work on a new housing development in Stirling is now complete.

A total of eight homes have been built at Thomas Brittain Court in Dunblane.

The project was delivered by Forth Housing Association (HA). It was developed without any public subsidy thanks to former town resident, Thomas Brittain.

After Mr Brittain died in Dunblane in 1963, he left his estate to be used for the benefit of the elderly and infirm in the town.

Forth HA worked alongside a group of local residents to co-ordinate the development, which provides two wheelchair accessible homes and six flats suitable for those with restricted mobility or other needs.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Margaret Turner, Chairperson of Forth, said: "It gives me added pleasure that I can mark the completion of these homes, not only as Chair of Forth but as a present day resident of Dunblane. Many members of the town worked hard to bring this scheme to completion and the end result represents over 50 years of local commitment."
