A project milestone has been reached on a public realm improvement project in Perth.
The first phase of the scheme to create a 'Cultural Quarter' on Mill Street will finish the week beginning Monday, 22 May.
This involves contractor Kilmac Construction completing works from George Street to the proposed new car park adjacent to Boots. Other works will involve laying of the final road surfacing to complement the footway areas that are already complete. To allow these works to be carried out, a temporary road closure is required. Diversions will be in place.
Once finished, works will then move on to Phase 2 of the improvements, concentrating on the footway outside Pullar House. Works to this footway are expected to take up to six weeks to complete. Further works will be carried out as part of the redevelopment of Perth Theatre.
