Work is to start on a £150,000 road repairs project in Aberdeenshire.
The B974 Cairn O'Mount road between Deeside and the Mearns will be closed for two weeks from Monday, 22 May.
The route will be shut between the AA phone box north of Bridge of Dye and Hunters Hill, east of Fasque House. However, the road will open over the middle weekend of the closure. Diversions will be in place.
Features include Permanent patch road repairs on both sides of the Cairn in advance of summer surface dressing works. In addition, lime mortar masonry repairs will be carried out to the parapet of Spittalburn Bridge following a vehicle strike.
Further works include improvement work to the car park near the viewpoint at the top of the cairn.
Head of Roads, Landscape Services and Waste Management, Philip McKay, said: "We appreciate the signed diversion route will be lengthy and apologise for any inconvenience caused, but we will do everything possible to ensure that this essential work is carried out in the shortest possible timescale. We appreciate the co-operation of road users during this period."
