Robertson is to begin building a new £9 million office development in Glasgow.

The company will develop the Red Tree Shawfield building as part of the 1.2 million sq ft Magenta scheme, a major new business district being built on the 27-acre former Shawfield industrial estate.

The 3,780 sq m development will feature Grade A office space providing business suites ranging in size from 10 to 168 square metres.

Designed by architects NORR, the four-storey building will also include a conference room, meeting rooms, breakout spaces, kitchen areas, a café and a 70-space car park.

The development is expected to create around 250 new jobs once completed by summer 2018. This will be the third Red Tree business incubator in the Clyde Gateway area, with two already in place at Rutherglen and Bridgeton.
