A joint venture (JV) between Morrison Utility Services and AECOM is to begin work to replace water mains in Ayr.
The Caledonia Water Alliance (CWA) will start replacing pipes in parts of the town on Monday, 24 April.
The eight-month scheme will require road traffic management at various stages in different locations during the work, including temporary road closures, lane closures and temporary traffic lights.
Scottish Water said it has liaised with the Ayrshire Roads Alliance when planning the road traffic management and will do everything possible to minimise any inconvenience.
