Having made the move in December, Hardies' head of south division Murray Warner has described business so far as 'buoyant'.
Under the agreed terms of the merger, both practices will retain their own branding and identities, with Hardies being the construction arm of the business and Shepherd being its go-to valuation arm.

He said: "Hardies has traditionally been strong in Edinburgh, Fife and Dundee while Shepherd’s locations give us strength in Glasgow and on the west coast, plus Aberdeen and Inverness."
Mr Warner continued, saying the two businesses have "come together to form a practice which is unrivalled in its delivery network of surveying and construction services throughout the country".
"Our business provides a fully integrated range of property advice throughout Scotland, working side by side with Shepherd," he concluded.
