Work has started on a new housing development in West Lothian.
CCG is building 12 new 'affordable' cottage flats for West Lothian Development Alliance (WLDA) in Stoneyburn.
The flats are designed to suit people with a range of needs and two are being built to full wheelchair standard. In addition, the units have inclusive design features, offering flexibility and adaptability particularly for people with age or health related conditions.
CCG will use its Off-Site Manufacturing closed panel timber system to help deliver the project, which includes pre-installed CCG Windows and Doors Internal Door sets, with the addition of energy saving features such as solar PV panels.
The development is jointly funded by the Scottish Government, Horizon Housing Association (HA) and West Lothian Council. Almond HA is developing the homes and on completion ownership will transfer to landlord Horizon HA.
The scheme will be ready for tenants by mid-October 2016.
Julia Fitzpatrick, Managing Director of Horizon, said: "Horizon has provided additional resources to enable this project to proceed and to help enhance the design specifications, part of our overall commitment to increasing the supply of accessible homes. As part of the Alliance, we are delighted to be bringing new social rented homes to the community of Stoneyburn."
Calum Murray, Director of CCG, added: "CCG is a specialist in the provision of affordable housing and we look forward to bringing high quality, affordable housing to this area of West Lothian working with the West Lothian Development Alliance."
CCG are also on site at another development for the WLDA at Forth Drive in Livingston, with nine new cottage flats scheduled for completion this summer.
