Work on a £172,000 golf clubhouse refurbishment project in South Ayrshire is now complete.
The scheme at Girvan Golf Clubhouse involved a full internal upgrade at the Clubhouse, including the dining room, bar, locker rooms, a new disabled WC and showers.
In addition, the entrance area and corridor have also been refreshed, with heating improved, damp issues resolved and new electrical fittings improving efficiency and reducing costs.
The council has so far spent £3.5m redeveloping golf facilities throughout the region.
Cllr Bill Grant said: "The new look Girvan Clubhouse provides better facilities for existing members, while also offering a more attractive package for people considering taking up the game of golf.
"Set against the stunning backdrop of Ailsa Craig the challenging course is now complemented by a modern clubhouse that has already proved popular with regulars and visitors alike.
"The refurbishment complements the new £6 million pound Quay Zone leisure centre in Girvan, which is due to open in the next few weeks. Together these projects provide access to improved leisure services, offering greater options for healthy living."
