A £1.9 million golf clubhouse refurbishment project has been completed in South Ayrshire.
The council carried out the renovation at the Troon Links Clubhouse.
Works included transforming the front of the building with new paving, steps and accessible ramps. In addition, the roof has also been replaced with new glazing throughout.
In addition, an extended cafe and restaurant has been built inside the clubhouse, as well as relaxing lounge areas, modern changing facilities and a fully accessible golf pro shop.
Overall, the council has committed £3.5m towards redeveloping golf facilities across South Ayrshire, including at Girvan Clubhouse and the new Golf Clubhouse at Belleisle Park.
Council Leader Bill McIntosh said: "The end results are quite remarkable and I'm glad the refurbishment has done justice to the historic character of the building.
"Our commitment to invest in golf, particularly in the current economic climate is testimony to South Ayrshire's proud golfing heritage. Each year, golf generates over £4 million for the local economy and our welcoming and versatile clubhouses are crucial if we are to continue to grow the game and nurture the next generation of golfers.
"I'd like to thank everyone involved in the project, and also those that use the clubhouse and the course for their patience during the work."
