Work Continues On Waste Water Network Upgrade In Glasgow

Scottish Water is continuing work to improve the waste waster infrastructure in the south side of Glasgow.

The company will start carrying out sewer surveys and cleaning work on Titwood Road on Monday, 20 February.

The three-week scheme will involve the middle two lanes of the road, from the junction with Dumbreck Road to near the junction with Cromssmyloof Railway Bridge, being closed in short sections. Work will take place between 8am – 6pm from Monday to Friday.

The scheme is part of a £250 million five-year programme of investment which will continue to improve river water quality and the natural environment of the River Clyde, enable the Greater Glasgow area to grow and develop, alleviate sewer flooding and deal with the effects of increased rainfall from climate change.
