Work is continuing on the £745 million Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route/Balmedie to Tipperty (AWPR/B-T) project.
Preparatory works are being carried out ahead of demolition and reconstruction works at the A90 bridge.
In order to install apparatus for this phase, the B979 will close between New Mains of Ury and Glenury Road in Stonehaven from 8pm on Friday, 17 February until 6am on Saturday, 18 February. Diversions will be in place.
A Transport Scotland spokesperson said: "This coming weekend will see the temporary closure of the B979 between the AWPR/B-T project offices and Glenury Road at Stonehaven. This closure will allow essential preparatory works for upcoming bridge demolition works to be carried out safely."
