More than £642,000 is to be spent on improving energy efficiency for council homes in Dundee.
The scheme will be managed by SSE on behalf of the local authority, with Robertsons carrying out the work. Completion is scheduled for May 2017.
The project, which comprises of 92 properties with a client contribution for 47 tenanted properties, involves external wall insulation being installed in both council and private properties in the Lawton Tenements.
The scheme will receive funding from the council, Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and Home Energy Efficiency Programme Scotland – Area Based Schemes (HEEPS – ABS).
Cllr Kevin Cordell said: "The benefits of signing up for external wall insulation are so obvious and at no cost to the tenant or home owner, it's a real no brainer.
"Six MSPs from the Economy, Jobs and Fair Work Committee recently visited Dundee to view some of the great work we have already completed in order to reduce fuel poverty.
"It is my firm commitment that the council will continue to do all it can to make sure that the people of Dundee have energy efficient homes they can afford to heat."
