Construction work has been completed on a new footpath in Stirling.
The scheme in Killearn was carried out to create a safer route from Beech Drive to the back gate of Killearn Primary School.
The project was funded using Civic Realm funding and the extension was completed by Council Roads and Land officers.
Cllr Danny Gibson said: "The reason Councillors created the Civic Realm improvements budget was precisely to swiftly fund this type of work which might otherwise have struggled to attract funding from elsewhere. The enthusiasm of the PTA members and school staff for improving the routes to Killearn Nursery and Primary was clear to see and I wish them continued success."
Killearn Primary PTA member Heidi Bryce added: "The Killearn Primary Parent Council were delighted to work with Stirling Council to complete the first part of the safe routes to school travel plan. It completes work begun in conjunction with Sustrans and the Clackmannanshire Environmental Trust by improving traffic free access through the village."
