Lovell is continuing work on a £67 million housing development programme in West Lothian.
The contractor is building 775 new council homes across 17 sites in partnership with the local authority.
The scheme is part of the council's plans to deliver 1,000 new social homes in all nine ward areas. Lovell is now on site at ten developments, including at Blackburn, Livingston, Fauldhouse, East Calder and Linlithgow.
So far, the programme has delivered; 17 new apprenticeships sponsored by Lovell and its subcontractor partners; training for 27 existing apprentices; 31 site jobs; six graduate jobs and 29 work experience placements. In addition, around 80% of subcontractors working on the scheme come from within 40km of the project area.
Cllr George Paul said: "West Lothian Council is committed to providing new council homes across all areas of West Lothian. We believe that our programme will not only provide much needed affordable housing for local people but also provide a number of community benefits, which is a key element to our programme.
"We are delighted that so many young people have benefited from training and employment opportunities via our partnership with Lovell, and that local businesses are also working on our sites."
